Symposium

As part of the Institute’s mission, an annual Bladder Cancer Symposium has been established to bring together those interested in studying and improving the care of patients with bladder cancer through collaborative research in a task oriented manner. Participants will vary annually dependent on defined tasks and area of expertise to include urologists, medical oncologists, basic scientists, pharmacy and patients. Gaps in current knowledge with respect to diagnosis, treatment and general care are identified and addressed in a task oriented manner by the group. Consensus opinions regarding best practice to allow standardization of care or how to address these deficiencies through novel studies are encouraged. The inaugural symposium was held September 2014 in Hartford, CT.
